How your support helped the RNLI in 2024

437 Lives saved

25,327 People aided by lifeboat crews and lifeguards

9,141 Lifeboat launches

I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

🌊 Taking on the RNLI Mayday Mile – One Mile at a Time

This May, I’m taking part in the RNLI Mayday Mile – a nationwide challenge to walk, jog, run, swim, or cycle at least one mile every single day throughout the 31 days of May.

I’m doing this to support the incredible work of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), whose volunteers risk their lives to save others at sea.

🚤 Why it matters

Every year, RNLI crews launch thousands of times, often in dangerous and unpredictable conditions. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things – heading out in all weathers to rescue those in danger.

What makes it even more remarkable is that:

  • The RNLI is largely funded by donations
  • Volunteers give their time freely
  • Every rescue depends on training, equipment, and support funded by people like us

By taking on this challenge, I’m hoping to play a small part in helping them continue that life-saving work.

💪 The challenge

For 31 days, I’ll be committing to:

  • At least one mile every single day
  • No excuses – rain, shine, busy days or tired legs

It might sound simple, but consistency is the real test – and that’s what makes this challenge meaningful.

❤️ Why I’m supporting this cause

Living in the UK, we’re never far from the coast, and many of us have enjoyed days by the sea with family and friends. The RNLI is always there in the background – ready when something goes wrong.

This is about supporting:

  • Life-saving rescues
  • Critical safety training
  • Essential equipment that saves lives

Every donation helps ensure those crews can continue to answer the call.

🙏 How you can help

If you’re able to support me, I’d be incredibly grateful.

  • Every pound makes a difference
  • Every share helps raise awareness
  • Every bit of encouragement keeps me going

Together, we can help make sure the RNLI continues to save lives at sea.

🌟 Follow the journey

I’ll be sharing updates along the way – the good days, the tough days, and everything in between.

Thank you for your support – it really does mean a lot.

Your RNLI needs you…..
