I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

Fashion Parade - Later!

Wednesday 10th Apr
My T-Shirt and Cap have arrived, so I can go out and proudly show everyone that I’m raising funds for the RNLI.

Rest Day

Tuesday 9th Apr
The mileage is creeping up, little by little. However today the weather is pretty wild so I may not be able to get out much.

Of course the weather will never stop the brave volunteers of the RNLI from heading out to sea to rescue any who find themselves in difficulties.

Lazy Sunday?

Sunday 7th Apr
I don’t think I know what a lazy Sunday is! It’s just over a mile to church and I have walked the dog twice. And that’s not even including the walking I do when I’m actually at church. It all counts. I’ve upped my mileage for the challenge, 31 miles was going to be too easy, especially as I have started a bit early. We have a walking holiday soon too, so I may have to reevaluate again!

The Sea

Saturday 6th Apr
I’ve lived by the sea for most of my life and it is beautiful. However the one thing I have learned is that the sea takes no prisoners. People get into trouble on the sea for many reasons, but the RNLI will always be there to rescue those in peril on the sea. And you help make that possible through your generosity.
