I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

On my 2nd last day, came home & received my wrist band, next will be my medal 🥇 for completing a mile every day . Times it has been hard but everyone’s encouragement has been so appreciated. Thank you all ❤️✅😀

2nd last day

Saturday 30th May
Had a lovely walk with Bracken this morning after returning back from Ramsbottom. Only 1 more mile to go until I’ve finished my challenge & today received my wristband. Thank you all for your support, donations, kind words & believing I can do it. 🙌😀✅

Gardening

Saturday 23rd May
Well, blow me down, as when I decided to do gardening (sweeping, pruning, turning over soil & brushing) as my way to get my mile a day in, I wasn’t expecting my achievements, as not only smashed my most no. of miles I’ve done in a day but also doubled my no. of steps goal, which is usually 5000. So let’s hope I don’t feel the pain too bad tomorrow 🤣😀🙌👏

Bangor on Dee

Saturday 16th May
Had a lovely time seeing our friends Matt & Lizzie again and a true privilege to let us park & use their electric.  We’ve all had a fab catch up and this is where I did my half stage of a mile a day .

6th Day Mile at Worden Park

Saturday 9th May
Enjoying a rest on this beautiful wooden carved seat at Worden Park, Leyland

Cuerdan walk with Hubby & Bracken

Wednesday 6th May
I got my hubby to take some photos of me enjoying doing my 1 mile a day for the challenge.  I was very very happy when my IWatch logged over the daily challenge, especially with only a couple hours sleep  😴 & struggled with pain. Hope everyone else who’s taking part is enjoying as much as me 🙌☺️xx
