In 2024, bring your sailing club community together and join us to commemorate 200 years of saving lives at sea. The funds you raise will help keep RNLI volunteers safe as they continue to bravely launch to the rescue.
From a dinghy race to a barbecue on the beach, a family sports day to an evening of live music – your All Hands on Deck event can be as unique as your sailing community. It can be an existing event in your 2024 calendar that you dedicate to the RNLI, or a new event.
How it works

Sign up your sailing club and you’ll automatically get your own online fundraising page.

Plan your event – it could be one that’s already in your club calendar that you dedicate to the RNLI in 2024.

Spread the word about your event and invite your sailing club community to get involved.

Host your event! Raise lifesaving funds by sharing your online fundraising page with your guests.

Your club can help lifeboat crews save lives
For 200 years, RNLI volunteers have been dropping everything to answer the call for help and save lives at sea. But to give them everything they need to launch to the rescue, they rely on kind donations. That’s why we’re calling for All Hands on Deck to raise the lifesaving funds they need.
Once you’ve held our All Hands on Deck event, your sailing club will be given a Certificate of Appreciation. You can proudly display it at your club and know that, together, you made a lifesaving difference.

What is an All Hands on Deck event?
An All Hands on Deck event is a way to join in with the RNLI’s 200 year celebrations and raise lifesaving funds. What you do is up to you – it could be a yacht race, disco, water activities day – whatever you think would bring your sailing club community together best.
Can we dedicate one of our existing club events to the RNLI?
Yes, your All Hands on Deck event can either be an existing event in your 2024 calendar that you dedicate to the RNLI, or you can plan a new event.
How do I pay in our fundraising?
All donations made to your online fundraising page will automatically be transferred to the RNLI, so you don’t need to do anything.
If you receive any cash donations, you can bank them yourself and transfer the amount to your fundraising page. Thank you – every contribution makes a lifesaving difference.
When can our All Hands on Deck event be?
Your All Hands on Deck event can be anytime in 2024 – the RNLI’s 200th year.
