RNLI Tower Run 2026

RNLI Tower Run 2026

The RNLI Tower Run is London’s biggest stair climb challenge, with runners tackling over 1,400 steps whilst raising money to support the RNLI's lifesaving work in London and along the UK coastline.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Powered by kind donations, our search and rescue service has been saving lives around the UK for over 200 years.

Every pound and penny raised from the RNLI Tower Run will go towards equipping our volunteer lifeboat crews with the essential training, kit, boats and materials required to continue our lifesaving mission for years to come.

Gravesend RNLI

Thursday 25th Jun
This October, six Gravesend RNLI Lifeboat Crew are taking on one of the toughest fundraising challenges they have ever attempted.

Russell, Zoe, John, Fi, Nathan and Josh will be climbing all 58 floors and more than 1,500 stairs of 22 Bishopsgate, the UK's tallest tower run, but with one big difference. We’ll be doing it wearing full RNLI operational inshore lifeboat PPE, including drysuits, and lifejackets.

It's going to be hot, heavy, exhausting and unforgiving. Every step will remind us just how physically demanding the kit can be, but it also represents the equipment that helps keep us safe when we launch to those in danger on the River Thames, day or night, whatever the weather.

As volunteer crew members, we give our time freely, but the lifeboats, training, protective equipment and rescue gear that we rely on are only possible because of generous donations. The RNLI receives no government funding for its lifesaving service, meaning every rescue starts with the support of people like you.

Whether you've donated before, been helped by the RNLI, or simply believe in the work we do, we would be incredibly grateful if you could support our challenge. Every pound raised helps provide the training, equipment and resources that allow volunteer crews to continue saving lives.

Thank you for your support. We'll be thinking of everyone cheering us on as we tackle every one of those 1,500 steps in full kit!

If you can spare anything at all, we'd be hugely grateful. Every donation, no matter the size, helps the RNLI continue to save lives.
