I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

Running for the Silent Struggle — My 31-Mile Mission This May By Bennie White

Wednesday 16th Apr

This May, I’ve set myself a challenge: run 31 miles and raise at least £500. But it’s not just about fitness. I’m doing this to raise awareness for something much deeper — the silent pain so many men carry every single day.

Men are struggling. Some with suicidal thoughts. Some with alcohol or drug addiction. Some with just trying to feel anything at all. A lot of us grew up thinking we just need to “man up,” to stay quiet, to bury how we feel. And that silence? It’s killing people.

I’ve seen it. I’ve lived it. And I know how hard it can be to ask for help when you’re supposed to be the strong one. When you feel like nobody gets what you’re going through. When empathy feels like a foreign language.

That’s why I’m running. Every mile I run is for the men who feel like they’re not enough. For the ones fighting their demons in silence. For the dads, brothers, sons, and mates who are just trying to make it through another day.

Boxing and sport have helped me massively — they’ve given me a way to channel the pain, to push myself, and to stay grounded. That’s what I want others to feel too. That they’re not alone. That there’s hope. That talking, sweating it out, asking for help — these are signs of strength, not weakness.

So if you believe in this cause — if you’ve ever known someone going through it, or if you’ve been there yourself — please support this mission. Donate if you can. Share this message. Let’s break the stigma around men’s mental health and addiction.

We can’t fix what we won’t talk about. But together, we can make a difference.

Let’s do this.
