Taking on the Reindeer Run challenge for RNLI lifesavers

RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.

Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.

Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

Funding target increased!

Sunday 14th Dec
Well, thanks to super friends who have been really generous, I reached my RNLI standard funding target. I still have a few miles to go to get to my distance target, though, so as RNLI suggested I have now increased my funding target to try to raise additional funds.

Half way there!

Tuesday 9th Dec
Have reached half way of my fitness target now - still half to go, though. And still short of my funding target, so any donation, however small, would be really appreciated.

Over 25% there!

Saturday 6th Dec
Have achieved more than 25% of the activity target, so things are going well. Still short of my fundraising target, though, so any donations gratefully received, however small.

Well! Roll on December, can't wait to get started!

Having signed up, I feel that I want to start right now, but maybe I will see if I can find a set of reindeer antlers to wear on my walks first.
