Taking on the Reindeer Run challenge for RNLI lifesavers
RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.
Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.
Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

Running for Rescue: Our December Reindeer Run for the RNLI!
Sunday 30th NovAs a family who absolutely loves the ocean, we feel a deep connection to the water. We cherish our coastal walks, beach days, and the powerful, beautiful nature of the sea. But we also know that with great beauty comes great risk, and that's why the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is an organization incredibly important to us.
The RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards are the brave souls who run towards danger when others are running away. They are on call 24/7, ready to launch in all weather conditions to save lives at sea. They are funded entirely by donations, and the work they do is literally life-saving for fishermen, sailors, and families just like ours enjoying a day by the water.
This year, we wanted to do something festive and fun to show our support! We are taking on the Reindeer Run Challenge. Every day in December, right up until Christmas Day, we will be walking one mile as a family. That’s a total of 24 miles through the wet, cold, and hopefully occasionally snowy month!
We'll be donning our best Santa hats, maybe a pair of antlers or two, and embracing the Christmas spirit to complete our mile, rain or shine. Think of us as the smallest, slowest sleigh team, pulled by enthusiasm 😆
*Why Your Support Matters*
Every pound we raise will go directly to the RNLI to help them continue their vital work.
* £10 could help buy a pair of thermal gloves for a crew member.
* £50 could help pay for fuel for a lifeboat launch.
* £1,500 could fund the life-saving training for a volunteer.
* Even £1 moves them towards that.
Please help us turn our daily December walk into vital funds for the heroes of the sea. Follow our progress on this page (and maybe a few festive photos!) and donate what you can.
Thank you so much for your support. Together, we can help the RNLI save every life at sea!
