Miles for Lifeboat

By Cari Lewis

I’m fundraising for the RNLI to help power brave lifesavers to the rescue

No words can truly express how grateful I am to the incredible RNLI volunteers who rescued my son after he was swept out to sea. What could have been the worst day of our lives had a happy ending because of their courage, skill, and selfless dedication.

There are moments in life that change you forever. The day my son was swept out to sea was the most terrifying day of my life.

As a parent, nothing prepares you for the fear of not knowing if your child is going to make it home. I felt completely helpless.

Then the RNLI came.

These incredible volunteers didn't hesitate. They risked their own lives to save my son's, and because of their courage, professionalism, and compassion, I still get to hug my son today.

No amount of money could ever repay what they gave our family. They gave us another chance. They gave my son his future. They gave us hope when we thought we were losing everything.

The RNLI relies on donations to continue their lifesaving work, so I'm raising money to say thank you in the only way I can.

Myself along with my son Jac, Family and friends will be walking from Llandanwg beach to Criccieth beach, 16.5 miles, finishing outside the Criccieth RNLI station, along the coastal path.

If our story touches your heart, please consider making a donation, no matter how small. Every pound helps ensure these amazing volunteers can continue saving lives and bringing loved ones home.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who supports this fundraiser, and thank you to the heroes of the RNLI. We will be forever grateful. ❤️
