How your support helped the RNLI in 2025

Taking on the Reindeer Run challenge for RNLI lifesavers

RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.

Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.

Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

🚶🏼‍♂️🦌Walking the Reindeer Run🦌: My miles with Oxyge 🤿 (nearest emoji I could get to Oxygen lol)

Participating in a Reindeer Run doesn't always mean sprinting across the finish line; sometimes, it’s about taking it one steady, meaningful step at a time. This year, I am proud to be taking on the Reindeer Run/walk while using my supplemental oxygen, showing that festive cheer and determination know no limits.
Carrying a 4kg oxygen bottle while tackling a walk presents its own set of challenges, from pacing and equipment management to braving the winter air. However, strapping on those reindeer antlers and stepping out onto the course is a celebration of what grit & determination can do, all while raising support for a fantastic cause.
Whether you are running, strolling, or rolling across the finish line, every single step counts toward making a difference. If you see me out on the course with my oxygen bottle rucksack on  and holiday spirit, give me a wave or say hello—and if you'd like to support my journey, you can donate to my fundraising page today!
