389 miles for the RNLI and Fire Fighters Charity

By Chloe Cooper

I’m fundraising for the RNLI to help power brave lifesavers to the rescue

Every day, around the coasts of the UK and Ireland, RNLI volunteers are kitting up to answer desperate calls for help. But they can’t launch to the rescue without support. The RNLI relies on donations to fund the kit and training volunteers need to save lives at sea and return safely home. I’m fundraising to help them stay ready to rescue.

London Fire Brigade are wanting to fundraise in our Control Room for the RNLI and The Fire Fighters Charity. Our target will be to cycle or row in miles the number of lives saved by the RNLI last year. In 2025, the RNLI saved a total of 389 lives across its lifeboat and lifeguard operations. Over a 24 hour period we are going to try to achieve this many miles or more!
