I’m fundraising for the RNLI to help power brave lifesavers to the rescue
Every day, around the coasts of the UK and Ireland, RNLI volunteers are kitting up to answer desperate calls for help. But they can’t launch to the rescue without support. The RNLI relies on donations to fund the kit and training volunteers need to save lives at sea and return safely home. I’m fundraising to help them stay ready to rescue.

Tuesday 2nd Jun So we sold 30 tickets and donated the surplus to RNLI which came to about £245.

Tuesday 2nd Jun Who would have thought that the simple fact that there are 5 Tuesdays in June could be a fundraising opportunity?A group of us meet in Birmingham City Centre pubs every Tuesday evening to play and sink folk music. We dont currently have a venue for a fifth Tuesday and decided a boat trip on the Birmingham Canal Navigation was in order. I facilitate the group but we have no committee, no constitution,no bank account, no cash and no assets, legally we don't exist!
Well this posed a problem in chartering a boat, but Brundley Cruisers helped by holding the date while we collected the deposit together. In agreement with the others we set the price for a place to brake even at 18 people so that we could be sure to collect enough to cover the boat charter quickly. The boat holds 40 people but not 40 people with their instruments so we set a limit of
