I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

May Round Up

Thursday 30th May
Well, we're at the end of May! We've walked 21.8 miles over the month of May - and I'm sure my Dad has done more. One last big walk tomorrow which I'll do a post about but it has been amazing to raise money for RNLI and give my Dad some motivation to get back on his feet :)

Thank you so much to everyone who's donated!

Week One!

Sunday 5th May
First week of the May mile a day challenge! Slightly rough start with a few birthdays but we've still managed eight miles in total this week!

Two of those miles were a 3k run as part of the Couch to 5k programme (one of these I'm completing this evening).

6 of those miles was a 10k ride with my part-loan horse across the countryside!

Wanted to say a big thank you to those that have already donated and are supporting me and Dad!

Why are we walking?

Thursday 18th Apr
Looking forward to getting started doing this challenge with Dad (Trevor Torrans). As many of you know he recently had a double heart bypass and has been doing brilliantly in recovery. He's been back on his feet for a little while now but we thought this would be a fun way to keep building his fitness back up so hopefully he can feel confident enough to get back out and enjoy being with the horses and the dogs! Plus we get to raise money for a charity that does excellent work.

We're both super excited to get started!

Thank you to my Sponsors
