Taking on the Reindeer Run challenge for RNLI lifesavers
RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.
Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.
Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

My Updates
8 more days to go
Wednesday 17th DecI’ll be the first to admit I’m not the best at keeping this blog up to date. Most of my updates have been happening over on Instagram and Facebook, but with just 8 days left of my challenge, it felt like the right time to sit down and put a few thoughts into words.
I’m running 5km (3.1 miles) every day, and I won’t lie — it’s been harder than I ever expected. Some days my legs simply don’t want to work. They feel heavy, tired, and completely uninterested in another run. On those days, it would be very easy to skip it.
But then I think about the lifeboat volunteers. Come rain or shine, day or night, when the call comes in they don’t get the option of saying “not today.” They go out on a shout regardless of how tired, cold, or uncomfortable it might be. That thought alone is enough to get my trainers on and get me out of the door.
So here we are — the final push.
There’s 40km left to run, which is just under a chocolate bar to go (and yes, I’m definitely thinking about that reward already!).
Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far, whether that’s through donations, messages, comments, or simply cheering me on. Every bit of support genuinely helps more than you know, especially on the tougher days.
The finish line is in sight — let’s get it done. 💪🏃♂️

3rd Reindeer Run
Thursday 4th Dec
Day 2 & Day 3 Running Update
I completely forgot to post about Day 2 — but trust me, it was a good one! A proper love-in-the-sunshine kind of run. Warm, bright, and easy on the legs… the kind of day that makes running feel effortless.
Day 3, however, was a totally different story. The weather turned on me — cold, wet, and raining hard. The kind of rain that makes you question your life choices as you tie your laces. But I still went out, and I’m glad I did.
Halfway around the route, I bumped into the Round Table Santa, and honestly, it completely made my day. A little burst of unexpected festive cheer in the middle of a grim, soggy run. I did manage to grab a picture, although it’s a little fuzzy — rain and phone cameras are not the best combo!
Even so, it was the perfect reminder that not every run will be sunny, but every run can surprise you.
Here’s to Day 4! 🎅🏃♂️✨

First Reindeer Run Done
Monday 1st Dec Although it was raining I still made it out for a run at lunchtime
1st time fundraising since school
Tuesday 4th NovThis December, I’m taking on my very first fundraising challenge — the Reindeer Run!
From 1st to 24th December, I’ll be running (or walking, if any injuries strike!) a total of 75 miles.
It’s going to be a challenge, especially through the winter weather, but it’s all for a great cause and I’m determined to see it through.
Every mile will count, and every bit of support means the world — whether it’s cheering me on, sharing this post, or donating to help make a difference.
Let’s make this December one to remember! 🎄
