Taking on the Reindeer Run challenge for RNLI lifesavers
RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.
Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.
Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. Luca and I are going to run the Pembrokeshire coast path from St Justinian's lifeboat station (St David's) to the Little Haven lifeboat station - for those who are counting, that's 22.7 miles, so we'll actually start from Whitesands to get the full 24 (and a bit...). The weather was against us before Christmas, but it's looking fine now, so gearing up for Tuesday 30 December!
