Taking on the Reindeer Run challenge for RNLI lifesavers

RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.

Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.

Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

Wednesday 31st Dec
Final run of December, a very early very cold run this morning. My longest run yet! Thank you for the support everyone who donated! I’m off to continue training for my 10km race in February! Happy New year all!! Peace! X

Monday 29th Dec
So close to running 10k now, only 5 weeks till my 10k race! I ran with a friend today and it really is so nice running with someone :) probably only one more run left before the end of December if my ankle doesn’t play up! Let’s make it 10k! ☺️

Friday 26th Dec
A run with company for once! Was a lovely fresh run! My ankle niggled at me for a majority of it but feels fine now so it is on the mend. Next run was supposed to be Sunday but my friend is free to run again Monday so il hold off for another accompanied run instead :) hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! We did :)

Surpassed both my fundraising goal and activity goal this week :) will continue to update my activity for the rest of December :)

Friday 19th Dec
Got soaked through on this run, my headphones stopped working so I’m off to put them in rice and say a prayer 😂 only one more 5k and il have achieved my goal of 24 miles. I will continue updating throughout December the rest of my runs, let’s see how many more miles I can do by December 31st :)

Run 6- 5.06km or 3.1miles

Wednesday 17th Dec
This was meant to be an “easy run” at 7.05km pace, however I started out too fast at 5.40 for the first km and maintained between 6.04-6.09 for the remaining 4km. Need to work on taking my easy runs actually easy! I’m trying to increase my stamina not my pace.. anywho I enjoyed my rainy run :) busy day ahead with driving lessons and a school nativity to attend. Looking forward to the Christmas break :)

Sunday 14th Dec
Started training with Runna for a local 10k on first of Feb 26. Slowed down my pace to be able to run for longer. Was a nice run although my muscles were aching today maybe due to a long break in runs due to catching a cold. Next week is jam packed with pre Christmas activities so will fit runs in where I can :P

Run4 8/12/25- 4.56 kms or 2.8 miles

Just under 14km or 8.6miles completed this week, 15.4 miles to go :)

Finished work and got straight on the treadmill, to start the month off strong with a 5k. Did speed intervals to increase my stamina next run will be Wednesday, more than likely also on the treadmill. Fingers crossed for dry weather this weekend for an outdoor run on Sunday :)
