Catalina Channel & NYC 20 bridges swims for the RNLI

I’m fundraising for the RNLI to help power brave lifesavers to the rescue

Every day, around the coasts of the UK and Ireland, RNLI volunteers kit up and head out to sea to answer calls for help. But they can’t launch without support. Donations help fund the equipment and training these incredible volunteers need to save lives - and return safely home.

On 30th August, I’ll be attempting to swim the Catalina Channel- approximately 32 km from Catalina Island to the California mainland, through the night and without a wetsuit.

But 32 km is only the straight-line distance. Currents, tides and wind will ultimately decide the route I swim, so the actual distance could be considerably more. I’ll also be sharing the water with whatever marine life happens to be out there that night - hopefully dolphins… and yes, potentially sharks. 🦈🌊

Catalina will be swim 2 of my Oceans Seven challenge, and I’d love to use this adventure to raise money for a charity that means so much to anyone who spends time in or around the sea.

If you’d like to support me, I’m asking for something really simple: donate the price of a coffee, a beer, a glass of wine… or even a pool swim if you can! ☕️🍺🍷🏊‍♀️

Every few pounds adds up, and every donation helps the RNLI stay ready to rescue.

Thank you so much for supporting my swim- and, more importantly, the incredible volunteers who head out when others need them most. 💙

32 km minimum. Through the night. No wetsuit. Currents, tides, wind and whatever is swimming beneath me.

So if you can, turn your next coffee, beer, glass of wine or pool swim into a donation - and help keep an RNLI crew ready to launch when someone needs them most. 💙🌊
