Taking on the Reindeer Run Challenge for RNLI lifesavers

RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.

Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.

Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

We will always store your personal details securely, and they will only be used by the RNLI, RNLI Shop and RNLI College. My Updates

Final run

Tuesday 24th Dec
Today I completed run 24 of 24. That was 24 5k runs on the first 24 days of December.
1 run for every hour the RNLI are on call.
It was a huge personal challenge for myself but so glad I stuck at it and saw it through. A huge thanks for all the donations and support received along the way.

Halfway point

Thursday 12th Dec
So I have now completed half of my personal challenge.  12 5k runs done in 12 days. 12 more to go. Hit the halfway point with a personal best.
Huge thanks go out to those that have supported and donated. It is hugely appreciated.

5 runs completed

Thursday 5th Dec
So that is 5 runs completed. Improving my 5k time each time I have been out so far. Nice mix of weather, sun, rain and strong winds. 19 more to go.

My first run

Sunday 1st Dec
First 5k completed. 23 to go.

My Reindeer Run

Wednesday 30th Oct
Please support me with raising funds for the RNLI. The aim is to complete 24 miles which is one mile for every hour of the day that the RNLI are on call.
I am looking to go further than this by completing 24 activities. Walking/running/cycling between the lifeboat stations in Lytham and St Anne's.

Thank you to my Sponsors

Great cause Martin, we are monthly supporters of the RNLI. They are 100% funded by people like us and get nothing from the government, which is ridiculous. Good look with the 24 x 5k.

The RNLI do amazing work. My partner is part of Severn Area Rescue Association, the largest independent rescue org in UK, also completely funded by donations and volunteer run, serving the only area RNLI do not cover on water, plus cliff rescue and land search mountain rescue as well! Always in awe of the amazing folks who do this, and folks like you recognising and supporting those efforts!
