Taking on the Reindeer Run challenge for RNLI lifesavers

RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run or walk 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.

Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.

Reindeer Runners (and walkers) will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

My Updates

I'm out

Sunday 14th Dec
I've been putting off writing this to see if it could be avoided, but regrettably I have to withdraw from the Reindeer Run this year.
I'm currently dealing with some medical issues which are limited sleep and even restricting what I can comfortably wear. I also can't wear my Garmin watch at the moment either.
I will certainly look out for opportunities to support RNLI in the future but for this challenge, unfortunately, I'm out!

Why the RNLI?

Monday 1st Dec
It's a fair question when I live in the middle of the country, but when I get the chance to visit the coast even taking photos involves getting my feet (sometimes more) wet.
The RNLI aren't just there for when people fall overboard from boats, or when a trawler is in trouble; a lot of the rescues carried out are people using the water for leisure - swimming, paddle-boarding, kayaking.... (... taking photos?)

Good luck to you, enjoy yourself have the RNLI closes to my heart. many memories seeing watching the life boats getting taken out and even seen the hoover craft a few times too used by RNLI Hunstanton lifeboat team, the work they do keeping our beaches and seas safe is commendable.
