Taking on the Reindeer Run challenge for RNLI lifesavers

RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.

Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.

Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

My Updates

WoW - Thank you all already

Thursday 23rd Oct
I've already reached the target that RNLI gave me when I set up the fundraising page - £250 - so now it's a case of seeing how far we can go in increasing that amount, so have upped it slightly to £500.

I'm also now #1 in the Individual Fundraising list - thank you.

I'll be doing 6 miles x 4 times in December as I already walk more than 1 mile a day and it didn't seem right to simply not challenge myself, so doing a 6 mile run definitely will - that's around 10km !!!

I'll keep you all updated on the first one at the beginning of December.

Why am I doing this?

Thursday 23rd Oct
I walk at least 1 mile a day with the fur babies, to and from work and of course going out at weekends, so I'll be doing the 24 miles in 4 x 6 mile stints once a week.

I have always believed that the RNLI is a vital service for the UK, a country made up of coasts and a need to keep those who work and play in our waters, safe.

We have a local Brighton RNLI Lifeboat Station so I have decided to push myself to run 24 miles, as part of the REINDEER RUN, during December 2025.

Thank you to my Sponsors
