Taking on the Reindeer Run challenge for RNLI lifesavers
RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.
Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.
Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

Run for RNLI
Saturday 8th NovLace Up Those Hooves: I’m Taking On the Reindeer Run — Will You Support Me? 🦌
Hello friends, family and all those who love a good challenge (or a good cause)!
This December I’m committing to the Reindeer Run: 24 miles throughout the month – one mile for every hour the RNLI volunteers are on-call, even on Christmas Day.
I’ve set myself a fundraising target of £250, and I’d love your support as I take on this fun, festive, meaningful challenge.
Why I’m doing it
The RNLI is a brilliant charity that saves lives at sea, relying on volunteers and public support to keep going.
For me, the Reindeer Run is more than just logging miles — it’s a way to step up, move my body, mark the season, and channel that physical effort into something truly lifesaving.
How the challenge works
- Once you sign up you get your own fundraising page (which I’ve got – link below).
- You complete 24 miles in December, in whatever way suits you — run, walk, hop or roll. It’s up to you.
- Every donation goes straight to RNLI and helps keep their volunteers safe when they launch to save lives.
How you can help
- Donate: Any amount helps. Whether it’s £5, £10, £20 — together we’ll hit that £250 target.
- Share: If you can’t donate right now, a share on your social media (or tag someone who might) is brilliant.

(If you prefer offline donation, happy to organise — just drop me a message.)
Thanks in advance x Gem xx
Here’s to antlers, miles, goodwill — and saving lives. 🦌🚤💙
