You Helped Save Lives This Summer

By taking on the Mayday Mile, you’ve helped make sure RNLI volunteer crews are ready to launch when the calls for help come in.

From families enjoying sunny days at the beach, to watersport enthusiasts making the most of the surf, the coast is far busier during the summer. But because you took on the Mayday Mile, RNLI volunteers are better equipped and ready to respond when the calls for help come this summer.

Every mile you completed, and every donation you inspired, helps ensure the crews can launch at a moment’s notice – to bring someone home safely.

You’re part of every rescue. You’re a lifesaver too.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I pay in my fundraising?

add remove

All donations made to your fundraising page will automatically be transferred to the RNLI, so you don’t need to do anything.

If you receive any cash donations, you can bank them yourself and transfer the amount to your online fundraising page. Every contribution makes a real, lifesaving difference.

Is Gift Aid included in my fundraising total?

Yes, the amount shown on your online fundraising page includes Gift Aid.

Will I receive a medal?

add remove

When you sign up, you can opt in to receive a medal once you hit your individual or group fundraising target. If you would like to receive a medal, please make sure you opt in. Those that do not opt in will not receive a medal.

Individual adult fundraisers who raise at least £125/€125 will qualify for a Mayday Mile medal. Members of adults-only teams will receive a medal once they have individually raised £125/€125.

Mixed age groups (groups with adults and under 18s) will be given a group target upon signing up. This will be based on the number of people in the group that choose to fundraise (the registering adult can choose not to fundraise if they are registering on behalf of under 18s). The group target is the number of fundraisers in the group multiplied by £125/€125. After reaching the group target, all fundraisers in the group will qualify for a medal.

We will post your medals to the address that you provided when signing up. Group medals will be posted to the address of the adult that signed up on behalf of the group. You will receive your medals from June 2025.
