Tower Run 2025

RNLI Tower Run 2025

The RNLI Tower Run is London’s biggest stair climb challenge, with runners tackling over 1,400 steps whilst raising money to support the RNLI's lifesaving work in London and along the UK coastline.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Powered by kind donations, our search and rescue service has been saving lives around the UK for over 200 years.

Every pound and penny raised from the RNLI Tower Run will go towards equipping our volunteer lifeboat crews with the essential training, kit, boats and materials required to continue our lifesaving mission for years to come.

Why I’m Taking on 4 Peaks for RNLI

Sunday 28th Sep
Hello everyone! I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to share that I’ve committed to a big challenge to support the amazing work of the RNLI. Through my company, Hastings Direct, I will be part of a team taking on a 4-Peak Challenge (3 mountain peaks plus a Tower Run) to raise funds for this lifesaving charity.

Why RNLI?
The RNLI is a vital lifeboat and rescue charity that operates 24/7 around the UK & Ireland, supporting volunteer crews who save lives at sea.

Every penny raised helps pay for training, equipment, boats, and readiness for rescues.

It feels meaningful to push myself physically in order to support people whose job it is to respond when lives are in danger on the water.

What’s the challenge?
We’ll attempt all 4 “peaks” in under 48 hours — that means summiting 3 major mountains across the country, then returning for the Tower Run (over ~1,400 steps) in London.

The mountains will likely be among the classic “Three Peaks” (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Snowdon) or equivalent in difficulty.

The Tower Run is London’s biggest stair climb challenge — the plan is to warm up on the peaks, then cap it off with the stair climb in the capital.

Because we’re doing it as a team, there’s a shared pool of funds — but each of us must raise our own target to contribute.

It’s going to be a hefty physical and mental test. Over those few days, rest, sleep, food, hydration — all these will become as critical as the climbs themselves.

My preparation so far (and ahead)
I began training about a month ago... nothing too extreme yet, but steady.

I’m doing a mix of:
  • Hiking (with local groups, exploring hills and countryside outside London)
  • Cycling
  • Swimming
  • Strength / conditioning / gym work to build core strength, leg stamina, and endurance

My goal: arrive at the event as fit, resilient, and well-prepared as possible

Over the coming weeks I’ll share updates: photos, video snippets, stories on social media so you can follow the journey, see the highs and lows, and feel part of the effort.
