I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Day 14: Halfway to the Finish Line, Rain or Shine!

Thursday 14th May

We've officially hit Day 14 of our RNLI fundraising challenge, which means we're almost halfway through! This May has certainly kept us on our toes with its unusually cold and wet weather, but that hasn't dampened our spirits. We’ve been out there, pounding the pavements, come rain or (rare) shine, every single day. Every step we take brings us closer to our goal and, more importantly, helps the brave RNLI volunteers continue their life-saving work. Thank you for your incredible support so far – let's keep this momentum going!

Our May Day Mile Adventure!

Monday 4th May

Wow, what an amazing start to the RNLI May Day Mile! We can't believe we've already clocked up 24.5 miles in just three days. The weather has been absolutely beautiful, and we've been having so much fun getting out for our walks as a family. We're so proud to be doing this as part of Team Be More Bear 2026. Being on such a great team has been incredible, and we've felt so encouraged by everyone. The support has been the best ever! Thanks to everyone who is cheering us on!

We are so excited to announce that we’ll be hitting the pavement once again this year. Together with our incredible Team Be More Bear 2026, we’ll be walking our miles to raise vital funds for the RNLI.

For us, this is more than just a walk. We are honored to continue the heartfelt mission of Bear & Helen, keeping their legacy alive and supporting the lifesavers at sea.
