I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

Friday 8th May

That's right, the team is back and even bigger this year! We're thrilled to welcome some new members as we take on the RNLI Mayday Mile challenge this May 2026.

As temperatures rise and more people flock to the coast, the RNLI's courageous volunteers face their busiest season. They are ready to answer the call 24/7, and our team is ready to answer their Mayday call for support once again.

Many of you may remember Helen and Bear, who enthusiastically completed the Mayday Mile back in 2024. In their honour, and to continue the amazing spirit they showed, we walk in their foot and pawsteps, inspired by their memory and a cause that was so beary important to them.

Will you support our challenge and help us make a lifesaving difference in memory of Helen and Bear?

Thank you in advance for any donations you are able to make. No matter how small, every contribution adds up to make a huge difference.

MayDayMile Day 6 - 6.96 miles

Wednesday 6th May
Today we clocked up our miles in a different way. First we had to walk to the bus stops to catch buses to the next big town to pick up mummy’s car from the garage. Then once we got home there was so much work to be done in the garden 🪴 and it was my turn to help with walking today’s miles. In total we walked 6.96 miles. Who knew walking back and forth most of the day in the garden can add up to so far 😮‍💨
